HAPPY NEW YEAR!

First things first...
Here's my inaugural entry for Project 365:

I was cleaning up today and I just liked the way these party hats looked all piled together with Happy New Year spelled out one way and then another, almost like a reflection. That's me trying to sound artistic. I thought of using some wacky pictures from last night's party but that would be cheating. It's supposed to be A picture A DAY.

The hardest part is going to be blogging every day, but I am determined. I really like this project because I love taking pictures, I think it's a cool idea and I also think it will help to hone my picture taking skills. I hope I can keep it up and actually manage to take artful and/or interesting photos every day. I've looked at some Project 365 photos on Flickr and most of them are really cool. Some, however, are just lame. Especially the ones where people take a webcam picture of themselves after rolling out of bed that day. All crust and bed head. Gross.

Here's an "unofficial" picture I took today:
It's Monkey, chilling by the pool with her gingerbread doll. It was windy earlier and she likes to just sit and watch the plants sway. I think it's insanely adorable. It's not my official picture because I thought my January 1st picture should be New Year themed.

Last night we had a fun and wacky New Years Eve party where a large chunk of the night was spent watching My Bare Lady on the Fox Reality Network. It's a show where they send four porn stars to London and make them put on a Shakespearean play that has an inexplicable slutty dance number finale. It's just the most ridiculous thing ever. And we watched two hours worth of it.This girl in the picture was the fakest looking one of the bunch. But they were all TERRIBLE actresses. (shocker) They showed the play they put on at the end and some reaction shots from the audience. I said, "Who is sitting through this?" And KF said, "Us."

And now I must go, because I've been working on this blog post for way too long today. I'm going to have to be more efficient in the future because I have many other New Year resolutions that don't involve sitting on my keyster at the computer all day. I don't think that's how you spell keyster. The End.
