Ye Olde Photoshoppe

So I sort of I realized that I already knew how to do some cool stuff in Photoshop and had a few unfinished things lying around in files that I finally... you know... finished.

Photoshop is rad, but if you asked me to repeat my steps exactly to tell you how to make the following designs I would be staring at the computer with a blank look on my face for days trying to figure it out. I arrived at everything pretty randomly by messing around with all the knobs and switches. But I like how it all turned out.

Journalfest
is coming up! It's all about the art journals this time, so for trades I thought it might be nice to print out some of these digi-collages to be used background papers. I'll print them out probably 5x7ish and then people can chop them up or use them however they like in their journals. That's cool, right? The best thing about this is that all the images are my own photos! Aw yeah, copyright THIS!

This is an older digi-collage I made a while back, but it was always too bright so I decided to rub some digital dirt on it. Now it's finally done. The photo in the collage is of a building up in Artfest country, Port Townsend, WA.

Okay, so I'm up either very early or very late (depending on your POV) due to extreme insomnia and I'm not sure what do do with myself. Maybe I'll try to sleep again. I just watched the cutest little movie from iTunes called Ramen Girl. If you follow the link, it should take you to the iTunes page where you can rent it. I love links. I'm a link enthusiast.

Love, love LOVE your backgrounds, especially the black birds. Of course, I AM an old crow. I'll have to figure out which perfect artist you are at JournalFest. I'm the one with a big old RED streak in my long blond hair and the BIG box of trades! See you next Wednesday! w00t!

Love your digital art and your Portland perspective. What classes were you in at Art and Soul...?

These are fabulous! I hope I run into you at Journalfest and can trade. Actually, I hope I just get a trade sorted out. I love the one with the Port Townsend building in it.
