It's a lamp, from Anthropologie, with an absurd price tag of $1,598.00. Seems easy enough to make though... right? And maybe not with such an obvious wire running up the side? I say this like I'm a wirework master with loads of time and skill at my beckon call. But seriously... it can't be THAT hard to make, can it? I'll let you know how it turns out... if I haven't poked my eyes out with rusty wire, rendering it impossible to blog.
I've been perusing this delicious blog called Design*Sponge lately as I have decoration on the mind. I'm having work done to the outside of the house and it's time to tweak and update the inside as well. Nothing drastic, but I've got so many little and big bits of art and things just lying around my studio that I might try something like this in the living room:
Normally, I can't abide clutter but this is Up and Out of the Wayish clutter and I really like the way it looks. I might just do it in one corner of the wall near the big teevee.
The problem is, once I make the nail holes I'm pretty locked in so I'm nervous to start. I found this handy tutorial on frame placement but there's no way I'll have the patience for that. Plus, I like the higgeldy piggeldy look in the photo above. I also like the pink wall, but I imagine KF will have none of it. I'll take and post a photo when I'm done if I think the results are worth posting.

Ooooohhh, that lamp looks like a hoot to try and make! Good luck, and if you want an extra set of hands....... :-)
BTW- one of the ways I 'plan' layouts of picture-y stuff is trace the pieces on butcher paper and tape them to the wall and move them around until I like what I see. I can't wait to see pictures!
