I signed up to do the fatbook and got it all done right at the last minute! The number of pages we needed to do was 53 (good gravy) and I had this genius idea to make them all original. That took a bit of time as you might imagine.
I did these with Caran d'Ache artist crayons over book text.

Then I carved this little Lady Sasspants.

And here's the final product:

And while on the subject of book art, I made this spread for a blue and white themed book in my little Dream In Color book circle. I hope you like it, Peggy!

I used vintage lined paper from a recipe book written in 1945 (ebay)! There were a lot of blank pages and I love the look of doodles on lined paper. I drew the girl in pencil and went over her in ink. I'm becoming very addicted to using a fountain pen and ink pot. It's a lot easier than I thought it would be. Oh, and the swirl stamp is one I carved a while back. I'm into carving my own stamps because I suddenly feel very strange about putting other people's stamps into my art. It feels too crafty or plagaristic... or something.. I don't know. I just don't wanna.
So that's all for now.
Except, of course, Today's Robert Pattinson:
