Fingerpainting

So about a hundred years ago I went to Artfest...

And I took a class with Jesse Reno...

And I ended up with this...

The coolest thing about this is that I painted it entirely with my hands, except for the wax pastel line work, and I used only five basic paint colors. I think that's AWESOME. I mean... I'm not saying my painting is awesome... just the technique. But I think the painting is a little awesome too.

Anyway, a hundred years and two and a half months later, after a whole mess of stuff happened, I finally have time for my artwork and my BLOG. Oh, hi, by the way. How've you been?

I've been in the studio where I LOVE to be and I've been trying out some different things.

I took a little bit of what I learned from Jesse Reno and a bit from Carla Sonheim's Imaginary Creatures Class... whence I produced these weirdos:

And then I added a little of my own thing because I've taken so many classes in the past year it's hard to remember everything I learned. I really should take notes but that's kind of nerdy, even for me.

Anyway, this is the latest painting.

And I'm really kind of liking it. This is kind of a new thing for me... liking what I make. And the process is very fun and pretty stress free.

I'm feeling a bit like this guy:

So yeah... that's it. I'll have more to show for myself soon, I hope.

And, because for me it's just not getting old, I leave you with Today's Robert Pattinson:
